It was a warm April evening as we gathered at Föreningarnas Hus for our 28th Luleå Toastmasters meeting. Our toastmaster for the meeting, Risto started the meeting by welcoming our guests and highlighted the three project speeches scheduled for this meeting.
The first speech was a project speech delivered by Peter. Peter highlighted on the importance of networking.
The second speech was delivered Per who shared his experience in job hunting.
The third speech was delivered by Marcus who reminded us that taking a step back and doing nothing something the best suit of action.
Our grammarian Bertie introduced the word of the day: “Relax” and our Round Robin master Per did a wonderful job by tying the word of the day to our round robin theme
Mikael, our Table Topics master provided us with very interesting and thought provoking topics.
Our timekeep and Sergeant in Arms Margareta made sure we started the meeting on time and reminded us the importance of the use of time.
A thorough evaluation on the meeting by our General evaluator Chen closed the meeting, reviewing the flow and the roles of the meeting.
After our meeting a few of the members decided to take a social break at the local Gstropub Bishop arms with drinks and social chatter.
Maybe we ought to make this part of our toastmasters meeting?
See you next time!
